The Journey to 21 Days

Tuesday, August 24th marks my first day without TV...20 days to go...Why watch people live out their dreams...when I could be jump starting my own?

....But Of Course

On Friday, May 15, 2009 the girls and I had the funniest conversation. We were stopped in front of a school bus waiting for a little boy cross the street after getting off of the bus. Once the little boy got across the street and was safely on the side walk…he dropped down on all fours…stomach up….and started walking on his hands and feet. I said “What is that little boy doing” and my oldest daughter replied in a matter of fact manner… “He’s doing the crab walk.” My younger daughter had a few clarifying questions as to if the crab walk was stomach up or stomach down…they both agreed that it was stomach up and I replied… “Yes he is.”

This dialogue was so funny to me because neither of them found anything odd about the little boy randomly crab walking down the sidewalk…it was as normal to them as it was odd to me!

How does a person stretch and grow? I have found comfort in being who I am...it is difficult to try to be more; or perhaps less. I have tired many times only to disappoint myself and become the beginning yet again. I have promised the world and delivered only a pebble. How does one truly distend the being from which they are made; to be more like that which created all beings?

Happy Day...

So...again it's been a while.

But I have lots positivity to share.

I landed my dream job in May. The only thing that could make it better would be for it to be less than 40 mile from my house. But I have learned that it is better to do what you love and commute; than to do what you don't love close by!

I almost cried when they made me the offer and people keep asking the proverbial question: "so how do you like it?" and I say "I love it!" and they say "yeah let's see what you say in 6 months" and I say "I'll say the same thing! I'm doing the work that I love to do!"

BTW...I'm a trainer out of the Corporate office of the Detroit Medical Center.

Happy New Year!

So…I’m a bit late :-) anyone who knows me knows that is usually the case!

I see the importance in reminding myself what my mantra is…as I have failed to post I can feel my enthusiasm fading. I’m going to re-commit to my cause of living a happy, peaceful, loving life!
